Global Warming Threatens Gulf Population

The study found the four largest carbon emitters per capita in the Gulf to be the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, with the UAE leading the way.
Leaders of 40 Muslim Nations Gather in Senegal
Posted March 13th, 2008 by aaronHeads of state and representatives of over 40 Muslim nations gathered today in Dakar, Senegal for the Eleventh Session of the Islamic Summit Conference.
Following ongoing pressure from organizations like Human Rights Watch, the government of Dubai has instituted a series of reforms to protect the basic working conditions for immigrant workers. Enforcing the reforms has yet to be figured out and neighboring gulf countries are quite a bit further behind the curve.
