American Losses in Iraq

As the number of soldiers killed in Iraq passed four thousand, the New York Times published a statistical analysis of American military losses. The figures are broken down by geography and demographics and can be viewed by phase of the American military effort in Iraq: initial invasion, first invasion of Falluja, second invasion of Falluga and since troop buildup began.

The statistics are accompanied by stories and pictures of the lost Americans.
